I don’t mean to boast
But today in the post
I received my Poetic Licence.
The laminate plastic
Is simply fantastic
I love my Poetic Licence.
In a credit card slot
Of the wallet I’ve got
I keep my Poetic Licence.
When I leave my home
I’m never alone
I bring my Poetic Licence.
Whilst I can’t drive a car
I still get pretty far
I have my Poetic Licence.
I’ve not had a ticket
Or any points on it
I look after my Poetic Licence.
When I want to disarm
By using my charm
I show my Poetic Licence.
If I feel it’s essential
To prove my credentials
I use my Poetic Licence.
If I could I would frame it
I hope to retain it:
If found,
please return my Poetic Licence.
